Since its founding in 1990, Dan Ryan Builders has grown from just one home in the first year to more than 11,000 homes in over 85 communities across six states (Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina). The newest division is the Pittsburgh market, where Dan Ryan was born and where the company is now one of the few large, privately owned regional homebuilders. Each time Dan Ryan builds another new home, he continues a legacy of service and high quality construction that began three generations ago in Pittsburgh, when his grandfather started building in Castle Shannon, PA. Dan’s uncle, Ed Ryan, later founded Ryan Homes and his father, Jim Ryan, founded Ryland Homes. Dan now continues homebuilding in Pittsburgh, following in his family’s 70-year tradition of offering contemporary, well-constructed, affordable homes.
This past year of 2013 was a record breaking year for Dan Ryan Builders, which settled over 1000 homes for the first time in company history. The Pittsburgh Division was a large part of this growth, closing 33 homes in the first full year of operation in the market. Dan Ryan Builders is currently operating throughout Pittsburgh in six new communities, from the south in Washington to the north in Cranberry. These include three single-family home communities: Fieldcrest (South Fayette), The Preserves (West Allegheny), and Old Hickory Highlands (Seneca Valley), two townhome communities: Kennedy Highlands (Montour) and Strabane Manor (Washington), and one carriage-home community Georgetown Square (Cranberry).
