September 26, 2008 — Dan Ryan Builders Contributes to Completing a Habitat Home in a Week!
2008 HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BLITZ BUILD HOUSE Martinsburg, WVMembers of Dan Ryan Builders, along with other businesses in the area completed a new home for an area family in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle. The construction had been going on all week at 324 Twigg Drive in Martinsburg.
From a foundation on Monday 9/22/08, to a finished home Friday 9/26/08, this week has been a flurry of activity at the job site. Subcontractors, trades people and volunteers have come together in a tremendous show of spirit, cooperation and hard work to complete the home. This project is an incredible effort and a real testament to the commitment of Dan Ryan Builders and other businesses involved in a challenging year for the housing industry. The selection process that Habitat for Humanity goes by to select a family was completed earlier this year. The homeowners are Octavia Combs and her two daughters, Nicole and Genesis. Dan Ryan Builders, in keeping with their long history of giving back to the communities in which they do business, has elected to donate a built deck and railings, siding, fascia and aluminum wrap labor as well. Dan Ryan Builders employees also remained on site to assist with some decision making and to fill other small needs as they arose.
