May 8, 2007 — DRB Scores Big at Frederick County Builders Association Event

The applause was loud and the lights were shining this past Friday night for Dan Ryan Builders at the 2006 Frederick County Builders Association (FCBA) Awards of Excellence event.

Over 150 member attendees representing every major builder in the FCBA witnessed the DRB team walking away with some major awards and an impressive recognition for a tough but gratifying year of hard work. Attending and accepting awards on behalf of our team were: Todd Walker, Yale Silon, Gene Buckalew, Allison Grant, and Dana Scrivner.

With over $73.8 Million Dollars in 2006 sales, DRB collected 18 out of 46 awards given for Million Dollar Club membership. If that isn't impressive enough, consider this: Rivercrest II won the Best Interior Merchandising award in the Single Family ($500,000 - $650,000) and the Best Sales Model Single Family ($500,000 - $650,000) in the Marketing Division Category. Shadow Creek (of the "Pennsyltucky Pirates") won Best Radio Commercial in the Media Marketing Division Category with the "Pirates of Franklin County" entry.

At one point in the evening, Dana had to assist Allison with accepting the individual plaques that our team won because the stack was getting too tall to carry back to the table!

A great time was had by all and the Master of Ceremonies said it best: "Anyone receiving any recognition for 2006 can hold their heads high. In this market and with these selling conditions, if you're here and still standing then you can give yourselves a big round of applause."

I think you'll agree that it's fun to be a winner, but even more gratifying when you've competed and won over some of the best and the biggest. So let's keep it going.
